Casa Museo dell’Arte Contadina (Living Museum of rural life)
The living museum of rural life has been built into a 19th-century house.
The building is in the traditional style of the local Marmilla houses, with a yard at the front and back and porches.
As you can see, the outer walls are made of rows of stones and làdiri, mudbricks made of a mixture of earth, water and straw which are then moulded and air dried; a process that is specific to the Sardinian region.
Inside, the collection shows cross-sections of the ancient history of the local population, its items speaking of the daily life of the village families.
