Chiesa di San Sebastiano (Church of St Sebastian)

In the old times, the Church of St Sebastian was built as a small chapel for the rites of a few confraternities of St Sebastian.
Originally, the interiors of the building consisted of one single nave, embellished by a tiled floor in Sardinian stone from Segariu.
A bell gable, one of Sardinia’s most common architectural features, with a lintel on top of the big door, was visible on the outside.
Researchers have tracked down the ancient foundations of the Church, though no traces are left of the ancient graveyard. From 1645, the year it was first mentioned in a document, to 2022, the church slowly decayed so badly it had to be demolished and rebuilt alongside the ancient walls.
