Chiesa di San Biagio (Church of St Blaise)
The church of St Blaise probably dates back to the Byzantine age and was the parish church of a village now forgotten by history, named "Nuraxi".
The façade, originally a gabled façade, is made of sandstone ashlars, where you can notice a cavity, originally carved to accommodate ceramic bowls, a decorative feature that occurs frequently on the outer sides of Christian and Islamic places of worship.
Past the entrance, you will find some stylistic continuity in the pitched wood ceiling, held up by a wide pointed arch. The apse, on the back wall of the church, is one of the few architectural vestiges remaining from the original building.
