Nuraghe St Antonio Archaeological Area

Not far from the eponymous church, the Sant’Antonio nuraghe is included in the tour of the so-called complex nuraghes, those that are formed by multiple buildings nestled around a central tower.
The quatrefoil shape, set up around a main tower at the centre and four towers on the sides, makes this archaeological complex a truly interesting specimen.
The sacred well in the midst, which features in the Church of St Anthon as well, and the remains of the barbican with another four towers around it, hint at a dynamic and well organised historical reality, which you may ideally imagine if you piece back together the large remains that are in the site.
