Old town centre of Tuili

Tuili is blessed with a lovely old centre, brimming with awesome wonders that you won’t resist the temptation to explore.
Strolling through the streets of the village means losing yourself in a different, distinctive setting, studded with lovely sights and magnificent buildings, many of which naturally in keeping with the traditional local style, which will fill your eyes with genuine beauty.
As you walk the paved and cobbled lanes of the village, you will easily bump into buildings displaying the unique architectural features of Sardinia, such as “Sa Lolla”, a portico standing after the entranceway. Most interesting are the doorways, a constant feature you will look at all through your tour.
These finely-wrought entrances – there are over fifty of them – lead to the private quarters of the 19th-century aristocratic palaces, their coats of arms secured to the middle section above the arched door: crucially important evidence that will tell you more about the most prestigious dynasties of the town. So, you will have fun trying to guess which families hide behind the symbols and features on such coats of arms and noticing how the shapes of the archways differ from one another depending on the owner.
