Villanovafranca - Sagra dello Zafferano di Sardegna DOP

The Strade dello Zafferano di Sardegna DOP network (www.stradezafferanosardegna.com) is an event organised by the municipalities of San Gavino Monreale, Turri and Villanovafranca, with the aim of promoting the saffron spice in the three municipalities that obtained the prestigious DOP recognition in 2009.

On the occasion of the event, the producers showcase typical local products in the historic center of the town, valorising saffron in all its many aspects.

The event is an opportunity to open and show visitors the courtyards of the ancient Campidanese houses in the historic center which host exhibitions and cultural events inside them.
