Villamar - Festa di Santa Maria Bambina

The Feast of Santa Maria is organised by the Thirty Years' Committee and takes place in Villamar every year on 7 and 8 September.

On the first day, the simulacrum of Santa Maria is transported in procession with its chariot pulled by a yoke of oxen from the Parish of San Giovanni Battista towards the Country Church of Santa Maria, which is about 3 km from the town.

The following day the simulacrum is taken back in procession towards the parish accompanied by faithful, figures on horseback, folk groups, traccas and sonadoris.

During the two days, civil celebrations with music, entertainment and dancing take place in Piazza Pratza de Corti.
